Ankita Lokhande, known for her work in the television industry, embraces a holistic approach to her health and wellness, focusing on grounded rituals, inner peace, and traditional home remedies rather than solely relying on gym workouts. She recently shared insights into her daily routine on her YouTube vlog, ANVI, revealing a blend of mindful living, ancient wisdom, and body positivity.

A Mindful Start: Saffron Water, Sun, and Affirmations

Lokhande’s day begins with intention and a ritual rooted in gratitude. She soaks 2-3 strands of saffron in a silver glass overnight. Upon waking, she heads outdoors barefoot to greet the morning sun, connecting with nature and the earth. A unique aspect of her morning is “talking to water,” where she believes in setting affirmations by speaking to the saffron-infused water in the present tense, as if her desires have already manifested. This practice, she emphasizes, helps her stay grounded and energetic.

Power-Packed Herbal Elixirs for Inner Health

Before breakfast, Ankita Lokhande consumes a significant amount of “magic water” – approximately 1.5 to 2 liters. This isn’t just plain water; it’s a concoction of various beneficial ingredients. Her morning tray includes soaked fenugreek (methi) seeds and cinnamon water, a spoonful of a powdered mix of carom (ajwain), cumin (jeera), and fennel (saunf) seeds, a fresh slice of aloe vera, garlic, shilajit water, and a Vitamin C capsule. Her husband, Vicky Jain, also follows this routine.

She also enjoys a healthy juice made from beetroot, coconut water, and a variety of soaked seeds. This comprehensive herbal blend is a key part of her detoxification process and is believed to aid in blood sugar control, metabolism, digestion, and overall well-being.

Skincare Secrets: Ice Cubes and Face Dips

For her glowing skin, Ankita Lokhande opts for natural and consistent routines. She uses a blend of flaxseeds, fenugreek seeds, aloe vera gel, rice water, and vitamin E capsules, all frozen into ice cubes, which she applies to her face every morning. This is a daily practice, not just a weekly treat, for skin radiance.

Another significant part of her skincare and calming routine is the ice tub face dip. She dips her face into a bowl of ice water, often with lemon juice and cucumber slices, multiple times. Lokhande explains that this practice tightens her skin, slows down her thought process, and provides a sense of calmness by impacting her nervous system and reducing anxiety.

Movement and Mindfulness: Dancing and Prayer

Beyond physical health, Lokhande prioritizes mental and emotional well-being. Her preferred form of exercise is dance, whether it’s Zumba, YouTube walking workouts, or simply free-style dancing for 20-25 minutes. She emphasizes that her goal is not weight loss or body building, but rather to stay fit and happy. Dance, for her, is a source of joy and energy that lifts her mood.

After her morning wellness practices, Lokhande dedicates half an hour to prayer and reading sacred texts, including the Ram Raksha, Hanuman Chalisa, Sankatmochan, and Bajrang Baan. She also continues to “charge” water with prayerful energy during this time, which she then drinks throughout the day.

Dietary Habits and Overall Philosophy

Ankita Lokhande practices a disciplined diet, often incorporating intermittent fasting with an eating window typically from 11 AM to 7 PM. Her meals focus on balanced nutrition, including dry fruits, fruits, and protein-rich foods. While she avoids sugar, she doesn’t eliminate entire food groups, preferring moderation and portion control. She acknowledges that she’s a “foodie” but balances indulgences with extra workout time if needed.

At night, Lokhande unwinds with a traditional mix of roasted and powdered cumin, fennel, and carom seeds dissolved in hot water, which she uses for bone and joint health. Her overall approach to wellness is honest and rooted in self-care, with a strong belief that “if you’re there, the world is there.”
