New York, NY – October 1, 2025 – Peloton, the connected fitness giant, has announced a sweeping overhaul of its product line, introducing updated fitness equipment, an innovative AI-powered coaching platform called Peloton IQ, and, notably, a hike in its membership and hardware prices. This strategic move aims to reignite growth and enhance the user experience by focusing on cross-training and intelligent personalization.
Peloton CEO Peter Stern described the changes as “more than an upgrade; it’s a relaunch,” emphasizing a commitment to doubling the value of hardware by integrating world-class cardio and strength training into single machines.
Peloton’s Cross Training Series: A Full Hardware Refresh
The company has revamped nearly its entire range of connected fitness equipment, rebranding it as the “Peloton Cross Training Series.” This new lineup includes updated versions of the Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and a new Row+ machine, replacing the previous Row model.
Key hardware upgrades across the series include:
- Swiveling Screens: All new machines feature a screen that rotates, allowing users to seamlessly transition between on-machine cardio workouts and off-machine strength, yoga, or meditation sessions. The premium ‘Plus’ models (Bike+, Tread+, Row+) boast larger 23.8-inch swivel displays, while base models have 21.5-inch screens.
- Enhanced Audio: The ‘Plus’ line, including Bike+, Tread+, and Row+, now features improved speakers, with some models incorporating the first subwoofer Peloton has built into a fitness machine.
- Comfort and Convenience: Updates also include a new “comfort saddle” providing more width for bikes, a three-speed fan, and a phone tray on the ‘Plus’ machines.
- Commercial Offerings: Peloton also introduced the “Peloton Pro Series,” a new line of commercial-ready equipment, including the Tread+ Pro, Bike+ Pro, and Row+ Pro, designed for high-usage environments like hotels and corporate wellness centers.
Introducing Peloton IQ: AI-Powered Personalized Coaching
Central to Peloton’s relaunch is the debut of Peloton IQ, an AI-powered platform designed to deliver intelligent personalization and real-time coaching across all connected fitness equipment. Peloton IQ uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to analyze various data points to create a more tailored workout experience.
Features of Peloton IQ include:
- Real-time Form Correction: On ‘Plus’ models, a built-in movement-tracking camera (evolved from the Peloton Guide device) provides real-time feedback on a user’s form during strength training, counts reps automatically, and offers weight suggestions. Peloton’s Chief Product Officer, Nick Caldwell, noted that the company built its own large language model (LLM) for Peloton IQ, leveraging years of member data for superior movement detection.
- Personalized Workout Plans: The AI system analyzes workout history, class performance, and data from integrated third-party wearables like Apple Health, Fitbit, and Garmin to generate adaptive weekly workout plans and recommendations.
- Voice Control: Users can now control key functionalities with vocal prompts, such as “Ok Peloton” to confirm selections or commands to adjust instructor volume.
- Performance Insights: Peloton IQ offers performance estimates, helps members set data-driven goals, and provides detailed progress insights through weekly summaries.
- Self-Paced Workouts: The system supports self-paced strength classes, allowing members to go at their own speed while still receiving live feedback from Peloton IQ.
