Country music superstar Kane Brown is known for his chart-topping hits and electrifying stage presence. But beyond the music, there’s a lesser-known fact about the 31-year-old: he has a serious sweet tooth, and he always keeps cake pops in his fridge.

A Peek Inside Kane Brown’s Fridge

In a recent episode of Gym and Fridge with Men’s Health, Brown gave fans a glimpse into his home life, including a tour of his well-stocked refrigerator. Gone are the days of unhealthy snacks like frozen pizza and soda. Now, Brown prioritizes organic and gluten-free options.

“Everything’s really organic, and neat and clean,” he said, showcasing his commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

But amidst the healthy choices, one item remains a constant: cake pops. These aren’t just any cake pops; Brown’s wife, Katelyn, ensures they are made with better ingredients like almond butter, oats, and chocolate chips.

The Allure of Cake Pops

What’s the appeal of cake pops for Kane Brown? It’s a combination of taste and convenience. In a video with Men’s Health, Kane reveals when asked what he grabs from his fridge at 2 a.m. “usually cake pops but I’ll go through these pretty quick even though they’re for my kids I’ll grab about four or five out of here”.

Cake pops offer a quick and satisfying treat, perfect for a post-workout snack or a late-night craving.

Kane Brown’s Evolving Diet

Brown’s love for cake pops is interesting considering his past struggles with healthy eating.

Overcoming Vegetable Aversion

In previous interviews, Brown has openly admitted his dislike for vegetables, particularly anything green. He even confessed to throwing away tacos from Taco Bell if they contained even a small piece of lettuce.

“Anything green, I don’t eat,” he said in a 2022 interview. “All I eat is chicken and rice, literally breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”

However, Brown has been making a conscious effort to expand his palate. He’s tried spinach and kale (with a little “liquid encouragement”), and he’s even experimenting with carrots.

“I’ve been trying stuff, I just don’t stay with it,” he admitted.

Embracing Healthier Choices

Brown’s commitment to fitness has played a significant role in his dietary changes. He’s cut out unhealthy habits like consuming multiple Reese’s cups after workouts, and he’s focusing on incorporating more greens into his meals.

“My diet has changed tremendously, especially this year,” he said. “I’ve tried… sauteed spinach the other day. I ate salmon the other day, which I don’t do, and I’m really just trying to eat as much greens as I can.”

He also mentioned swapping out less healthy sodas for Olipop and Poppi. “If I do it it’s either ollipop or poppy which are actually prebiotics so they’re good for your stomach.”

From “American Food” to Balanced Meals

Growing up, Brown’s family didn’t have a lot of money, so his diet consisted mainly of “American food” like ravioli, beefaroni, macaroni, and hot dogs. Green beans, thanks to his grandfather’s farm, were the only vegetable he regularly consumed.

Now, his diet includes more meat, like chicken and steak, and he’s making an effort to drink more water. While he still doesn’t cook (“I’m a terrible cook”), he’s found healthy options like a breakfast burrito from Red Bicycle, consisting of potatoes, meat, and eggs.

Cake Pops: A Balanced Indulgence

Despite his dietary improvements, Kane Brown still allows himself the occasional cake pop. It’s a small indulgence that fits into his overall balanced approach to health and wellness.

The Importance of Moderation

Brown’s example highlights the importance of moderation when it comes to diet. Completely restricting oneself can lead to cravings and unhealthy binges. Allowing for small treats, like cake pops, can make it easier to stick to a healthy eating plan in the long run.

Homemade vs. Store-Bought

While store-bought cake pops, like those from Starbucks, can be tempting, making them at home allows for greater control over the ingredients. Katelyn Brown’s homemade version, with almond butter, oats, and chocolate chips, offers a healthier alternative with beneficial fats and nutrients.

Kane Brown’s journey towards a healthier lifestyle is an inspiration to his fans.
