K-pop star Hwasa has opened up about her recent weight loss, revealing that she deliberately altered her workout routine to align with the emotional and delicate tone of her latest solo comeback. The MAMAMOO member, who recently released her new song “Good Goodbye,” shared insights into her preparation, emphasizing a strategic shift in her fitness regimen.

During a conversation on Moonbyul’s online channel ‘moonbyul2da,’ Hwasa discussed the comprehensive efforts she undertook for her comeback. She explained that her previous intense performance style became challenging when she was at her slimmest. However, for “Good Goodbye,” which carries a more “delicate and emotional feel” and tells a story of a painful past, she aimed to cultivate a “softer, more fragile image.”

Adapting Workouts for a New Artistic Direction

Hwasa explicitly stated, “I changed my workout routine for my comeback.” This modification was not merely about shedding pounds but was intricately tied to her artistic vision for her new music.
