Announced today, the collaboration sees the installation of Technogym’s cutting-edge, AI-driven equipment in the AIS Strength and Conditioning Gym in Canberra, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to providing a world-class environment for Australian athletes to excel and “Win Well”.

The core of this partnership involves the integration of Technogym’s latest suite of smart gym equipment, designed to provide unparalleled data and insights into athletic performance. The new installations include Technogym’s Skillrun and Skillrow machines, alongside advanced Biostrength REV leg press, leg curl, and leg extension machines.

In November 2024, the AIS announced a partnership with AlphaFit, an Australian-owned family business specializing in high-performance fitness equipment. This collaboration saw AlphaFit provide custom-built equipment and specialized flooring for the AIS gym, including seven custom AlphaFit Power Cages configured for greater accessibility for Para athletes. Ross Smith also commended this partnership, emphasizing the importance of providing athletes with “the best equipment in Australia” that is functional for both Para and Able sports.
