Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently offered a candid glimpse into his personal life, discussing his approach to mindful eating and expressing awe at his 89-year-old father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan’s, remarkable fitness and dietary routine. During an appearance on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ Salman shared how his father, despite claiming a reduced appetite, still enjoys a substantial diet including parathas and dessert twice a day, all while maintaining an active lifestyle.

Salim Khan’s Enduring Health: A Testament to Lifestyle

Salim Khan, the prolific screenwriter behind classics like Sholay and Deewaar, continues to defy conventional wisdom regarding diet and aging. Salman revealed that his father consumes 2-3 parathas, rice, meat, and dessert twice daily, a regimen that appears at odds with typical dietary advice for seniors. Despite these hearty meals, Salim Khan remains incredibly fit, engaging in daily walks to Bandstand and back every morning.

Salman attributes his father’s enduring health to a “different metabolism” and a unique level of discipline. Beyond just food, Salim Khan’s lifestyle emphasizes consistency, moderation, physical activity, social interaction, and emotional balance, showcasing that overall well-being plays a crucial role in longevity and fitness.
