Jessica Biel Reveals the Truth About Her “Unattainable” TV Show Physique

Jessica Biel has recently offered a candid look into the rigorous demands behind her highly toned physique in the new Amazon Prime Video series, “The Better Sister.” The actress clarified that the “peak shape” she achieved for her role was the result of an “unsustainable” and “rigid” lifestyle, a level of fitness she cannot maintain long-term.

The Viral White Dress and Fan Curiosity

Viewers of “The Better Sister” were particularly captivated by Biel’s physical condition, especially a scene featuring her in a backless white dress that showcased her remarkably defined back and arm muscles. This appearance led to an outpouring of questions from fans on social media, eager to learn her workout routine. In response, Biel took to TikTok to address the widespread interest.

The Reality of Peak Physical Condition

In her honest TikTok video, Biel stated, “Everyone is talking…about the white dress and how do we stay strong as we get older, specifically as women, and how do we keep our back strong?” She then delivered a reality check, explaining that the extreme level of fitness seen in the show was not easily achieved or maintained. “That peak shape in that show is not maintainable unless you are living the strictest, most rigid lifestyle with your nutrition and with your fitness, which I cannot do,” Biel admitted. She further added that she is “currently back on [her] plan to sort of get a little bit back toward that shape,” indicating the temporary nature of such intense preparation.

Biel’s Current Fitness Philosophy

While emphasizing the non-sustainable nature of her “Better Sister” physique, Biel also shared insights into her regular workout routine, crediting her “Pilates-slash-fitness friend” Ashley Brown for teaching her specific exercises. She highlighted the importance of building muscle and maintaining flexibility as she ages. Biel’s long-time trainer, Ben Bruno, corroborated her dedication, noting that her consistent hard work in the gym makes intense exercises appear effortless. Despite the demanding regimen for the show, Biel’s underlying message advocates for a more balanced and realistic approach to fitness, focusing on strength and overall well-being rather than an unattainable “peak” form.
